About Me!!
Well.... I first took an interest in photography from the age of about 16.. thats me (The fat one in the Check shirt) in 2011, having a meal at River Cottage. If you don't know the others in the Pictures they are.. Channel 4 News Presenter John Snow (Mustard Yellow Jumper), Channel 4 news Presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy and on the Far Right - Celebrity Chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall!!!
I started working for a local estate agent and was soon out taking pictures of houses... My first lot of pictures were boring but then i took a real interest and started finding the best angles and light for the pictures.. we use to use the old film cameras so i also got to know the owner and staff of the local camera shop who use to process the pictures..
After a couple of months I was given a Practica SLR from one of the staff and away i went snapping all the pictures I could!!
Time went by and I changed jobs like everyone does at a young age and i eventually saved up enough money to buy a Digital SLR and this was where everything started - I think I was about 25..
My first Camera was a Canon EOS 10d - a 6.3mp digital camera which cost me about £250 and came with 1 lens..
I fancied a change and sold this and then purchased a 20d which was the 8.3mp and managed to get hold of probably the best lens i would ever own - a Sigma 50-500 Digital lens and started snapping everything i could, taking 200-300 pictures at a time and only selecting about 50-100 which were decent enough to use...
Like everyone does, i sold this kit off and wish I hadn't as I had now got a couple of sprogs.. I am now back into my photography and gradually starting to build up my photography setup again.. I'm currently using a Canon Eos 50d which is 15.1MP camera and it is by far the best camera I've used to date!!
I Have been a Rescue service member for about 11 years and over the years have been in a few helicopters, Boats etc...I have now left the service due to moving inland but regularly take various pictures around the coast etc..
Anyway - enough writing and let the pictures do the talking!!
